 The Miss Alternative Foundation solicits contributions to support its programs and activities. A description of these programs and activities may be obtained upon request from the Miss Alternative Foundation.

If this solicitation is conducted by a professional fund raiser or solicitor, the names of such person(s), as registered with the Charities Bureau, and a statement that they are being paid to solicit contributions, will be included.

The Miss Alternative Foundation is grateful for the generosity of donors and supporters. However, to ensure that all gifts align with the foundation’s mission and ethical standards, the Foundation reserves the right to refuse gifts under certain circumstances.

Grounds For Refusing Gifts-

The Foundation will refuse any gift that:

• Is inconsistent with the mission, values, or programs of the Miss Alternative Foundation.
• Could jeopardize the Foundation’s legal status or compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Imposes conditions that are impractical or excessively burdensome to administer.
• Could result in reputational harm to the Foundation or conflict with its ethical standards.
• Is suspected to be derived from illegal activities including money laundering, fraud, or other criminal acts.
• Would create a conflict of interest or undermine the Foundation’s independence.
• Requires the Foundation to undertake obligations or activities outside its scope or expertise.

Review and Decision Process-

All gifts that may raise concerns regarding their acceptability will be reviewed by the Foundation’s Gift Acceptance Committee. The Committee has the authority to accept or refuse gifts based on the above criteria and in alignment with the Foundation’s strategic priorities.

Communication With Donors-

When refusing a gift, the Foundation will communicate clearly and respectfully with the donor, explaining the reasons for refusal and, where possible, suggesting alternative ways to support the Foundation.
